The Venture: Automate

Automate is a SaaS system which enables users to automate their digital marketing efforts.  The first automation tools include, Content creation and posting, automated link building and email collection, marketing and monetisation. We have many more tools in our development pipeline.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be given the keys to your very own business Automate.mn Limited. Exciting, right?! You’ll adopt a team of talented MoreNicher’s who, with your leadership, will run and grow a technology SaaS business. As the name suggests, Automate is all about automating digital marketing tasks.

As the Entrepreneur in Residence you will develop and oversee the vision and direction for Automate. This business focuses on technology and sales – supporting both together is the key.

You’ll be working collaboratively with the whole MoreNiche team (find out more about this here) as well as leading your own team. You will be taking full leadership of the company and you will be accountable for driving growth.

This is a ‘roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty’ type of role.

If you’re looking to just tell others what to do, this is NOT the role or company for you.

You and your team will have full decision-making authority over the direction of the Automate business and you will work closely with our centralised support team for budgeting, financial support, mentorship, in-house consultants and more.

We are team shaped – supporting the team and the wider group is a crucial part of our culture. And we are radically inclusive – so we will expect you to lead in this way.

Just another day in the office

Your typical day will be:

  • Working directly with developers to agree the product roadmap (ideally lead by your users)
  • Work on growing users via sales and marketing channels
  • Working with the Automate team to motivate, prioritise and execute the backlog of work
  • Removing blockers and simplifying workflows, keeping it simple is one of our core values
  • Ensuring you fully understand the customers and building their experience and voice into everything you do
  • Experimenting fast and rewriting the rules to deliver results
  • Keeping a close eye on the financials to ensure you are growing profitability

This role might be the one for you if:

  • You have experience running teams with high growth and profitable results
  • You have a real interest in technology, sales and SaaS
  • You’ve sold technology products to businesses previously.
  • You’ve had exposure to technology development teams.
  • You have the ability to constantly evolve, improve, adapt and innovate.
  • Your organisational, time management and juggling skills are on point – you’ll be managing multiple projects on a daily basis
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and influence those around you
  • You can work both independently and collaboratively within teams to achieve shared goals
  • You’re eager to learn new things and stay on top of current marketing trends
  • You’re not afraid of hard work and you’re ready to put the hours, blood, sweat and yes, maybe even tears, into something which in turn will help you achieve your ultimate ambitions

It’d also be cool (but not absolutely necessary) if...

  • You have worked in the digital marketing space previously
  • You have an MBA or equivalent business experience
  • You enjoy working in an agile, sprinting fashion and have had experience working in this way previously
  • You attend conferences, training and local meetups related to digital marketing or technology

Remote working? Sure, why not?!

We have collaboration spaces in Nottingham, Palma and Riga. We’d love for you to spend time working there, but you don’t have to. We’ve got a growing bunch of remote workers based all over the world, so we’ll consider applications from anywhere. All we ask is:

  • Should you be invited, you will attend an interview either remotely or at one of our collaboration spaces, in Nottingham, Palma or Riga
  • If you bag the job, you spend your first two working weeks at one of our shared working spaces (we’ll pay your travel and accommodation expenses) so we can get you properly onboarded and making friends with your fellow MoreNichers
  • You attend our quarterly “all-hands on deck” weeks -the location for these changes from quarter to quarter

What are “all hands” weeks? These are week-long events where MoreNichers near and far descend on a location and spend a week collaborating, socialising and having a good laugh. It’s pretty awesome.

We can achieve so much more in a much smaller time frame when we’re all together. And it’s super important for connecting with and building strong relationships with your teammates Especially for our remote workers – it’s kinda difficult to know someone through a screen, don’t you think? Meeting your teammates face to face on the reg is the best way to really get to know them.
